The paint is fully corrected first to remove swirl marks, light scratches, and surface defects, then the ceramic coating is applied on top. Both are included — no separate quote needed.
Why Correction First Matters
A ceramic coating applied over uncorrected paint locks in whatever imperfections are already there. By correcting first, you get clean, prepared paint with lasting protection on top — not just a coated version of the same problems. This is what separates a proper ceramic package from a basic coating application.
⚠️ Workshop Only — This service must be performed at our Maddington workshop. Paint correction and ceramic coating application require controlled lighting, temperature, and dust-free conditions that cannot be replicated at a customer’s property. Ceramic coating cannot be performed as a mobile service under any circumstances — no exceptions.
Time in Workshop -Your vehicle will typically be with us for 2 to 3 days — working time of 1 to 2 days depending on vehicle size and condition, followed by a further 24-hour curing period. Exact timing is confirmed at the time of booking.

⚠️ Warranty Conditions
The 5-year warranty is active from the date of application, subject to the following conditions. These are warranty requirements, not recommendations — please read them before booking.
Annual Maintenance Service — Required
Your vehicle must return to NextCarDetail once a year for a decontamination wash, full coating inspection, and topper application where required. This is a mandatory condition of the warranty. If the annual maintenance service is missed, the warranty lapses.
Home Washing — What You Can Do
You can and should wash your car at home throughout the warranty period. To protect the coating and keep your warranty valid, follow these guidelines every time:
- pH neutral car shampoo only
- Two bucket method with a clean microfibre wash mitt
- Dry with a clean microfibre towel
- No automatic or tunnel car washes — no exceptions
- Do not apply wax, sealant or polish over the coating — it is not needed and will interfere with how the coating performs
Note: Home washing means washing the vehicle yourself at home using safe methods. Taking the vehicle to a third-party hand wash facility, detailer, or commercial car wash does not qualify as home washing.
What Voids the Warranty
- Automatic or tunnel car washes — no exceptions
- Any abrasive compound, polish, wax or cutting product applied over the coating
- Harsh or high-alkaline chemical cleaners used on coated surfaces
- Professional detailing, machine polishing, coating top-ups or paint correction carried out by anyone other than NextCarDetail
- Failure to follow the aftercare timeline in the first 14 days
- Missing the required annual maintenance service
- Damage from accidents, stone chips, vandalism, or panels that have been resprayed
Home washing is encouraged and fully compatible with the warranty when done correctly. The restriction is on professional paint treatments carried out by third parties — not on your own at-home maintenance. If you want any professional work done on your car’s paintwork after the ceramic coating, please contact us before proceeding.
Aftercare
- No washing and no water contact for the first 5 days — this includes door jambs and door shuts
- No chemical or shampoo wash for the first 14 days — plain water rinse only after day 5
- Normal washing from day 14 onwards
- Hand wash recommended — avoid automatic car washes
- Annual maintenance wash recommended to maintain coating performance
- Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive products on coated surfaces
Important Notes
- Vehicles with heavily damaged paint, deep scratches, or previously repainted panels may require an assessment before booking is confirmed
- This is not a wax or hydro sealant — ceramic coating is a semi-permanent protection product requiring professional application and proper aftercare
- Pricing and duration are confirmed at time of booking and may vary depending on vehicle size and condition.
- A printed aftercare and warranty document covering all conditions and exclusions is provided at vehicle collection
- All warranty coverage and annual maintenance records are documented under your vehicle’s profile in our system.
